Cusco & The Sacred Valley of the Incas are full of history and interesting sites. We only explored a few before our trek.
In Cusco, high-quality Inca stonework is very evident.

The best quality stonework can be found the few remaining walls inside Qurikancha, the most important temple within the Inca Empire
Arrival of the conquistadores brought Spanish or Mudejar architecture, often with stones appropriated from Inca structures

A little village outside Cusco specializes in baking bread, to be sold in the big city

At a little local market outside Cusco, the full bounty of Perú's agriculture is displayed in abundance
